Woman held at knifepoint during home invasion in North York

North York, York County – A North York woman was attacked inside her apartment by two men and held at knifepoint on Friday afternoon. Officers were called...

The 27-year-old female victim told police she had just returned home after taking her dogs for a walk when two men entered the apartment and asked where she kept her money.

When the woman told the suspects she didn’t have any cash, one of the men pulled out a large knife or machete and forced her to the floor, according to police reports. Then the men tied her hands together using a towel and ransacked the apartment, police said.

The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s cell phone and a small amount of cash.

The woman sought help at a neighboring home. The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1: Black Male, 508, 180, Dark Skinned, Black Hair (Dread locks), Brown Eyes, No facial hair, No Glasses, No Visible scars or tattoos, muscular build wearing black pants and a black over sized hoodie. Armed with a machete.

Suspect #2: Black Male, 508, 180, Dark Skinned, Shaved head, Brown Eyes, No facial hair, No Glasses, No Visible scars or tattoos, muscular build wearing black pants and a hoodie.

Police believe the woman was targeted and it was not a random crime.
