Its championship time in Hershey with the Triple A District Championship, Bishop McDevitt vs. West York.  The Crusaders, back in Hershey once again.  Alec Werner, McDevitt quarterback says, “Definitely here at McDevitt, its a tradition of winning.  Its our 3rd year in a row.”

To get a 3rd straight title, McDevitt needs to beat a very good team from West York.  Last week, the Bulldogs beat mid-penn foe, Susquehanna Township by 24.  Jeff Weachter, McDevitt Head Coach adds, “They got our players respect when they beat Susquehanna good on Friday night.  That was a good thing, rather than a close game, now they grabbed their attention.”

The Bulldogs are making their 2nd trip to the district finals.  For championship number 2, they need to slow down a very powerful Crusader offense.  Their scoring average, over 43 points a game.  Ron Miller, West York Head Coach, “We are not going to go in there with some kind of ego and say we are going to lock them down.  We can’t do that.  We do feel we can pick and choose our spots, get their quarterback out of rhythm a little bit.  Hopefully we can create some turnover or mistakes.  If we don’t we will be in for a long night.”

Kickoff is set for 7pm at Hersheypark Stadium.  Highlights and post-game reaction tonight on FOX43 News.
