A pretty mild day for December, high temperatures were running over 20 degrees above average.

Tonight it remains pretty pleasant for December.  There is a weak disturbance coming in from the Ohio Valley producing a few light isolated showers.  They could arrive here in the next few hours but most areas will remain dry.  With the clouds and high dew points, lows will be very warm in the upper 40s to low 50s which is over 15 to 20 degrees above the average low of 30.  That is even warmer than our typical average high temperature of 46 degrees this time of the year.  Enjoy it because it doesn’t last.

Early fog and clouds will lift and thin out allowing a bit more sunshine before clouds thicken back up ahead of a cold front coming in from the west late tomorrow night.  Winds will become breezy helping to spread the mild air across the area boosting temps once again into the mid and upper 60s.

Daylight hours will remain dry but tomorrow night as the front nears, there could be a few showers late.  Not much rain is expected and any threat should be gone by Wednesday morning as the front will have passed to our east.

Temperatures will fall back as a surge of cooler air returns for Wednesday and Thursday.

Looking ahead, it appears the upcoming weekend looks a bit unsettled with a front stalled in the area, a chance for showers is possible each day but the temperatures look to head back into the 50s.
