Mrs. Happy Homemaker.com has become a hit for families around the world. Over a half a million people log on each month for recipes, tips around the house and how to save money.

“I’ve always been know for baking all this stuff from scratch .”

From her kitchen in Asheboro, NC, the stay at home mom of 3 makes a living by sharing “online” downhome tips and easy recipes for everything from homemade detergent to cooking from scratch.  Her most popular recipe right now?  Homemade coffee creamer.

“Most are things that you can find in your local mom and pop store or kind of things that I grew up eating.. southern foods, some things I picked up along the —  mexican, homemade Chinese. I don’t eat out so I do homemade take out.  Home made fast food recipes.”

“For one to save on the holiday dinner you really got to plan ahead.  You’ve got to watch the sales at the grocery stores, usually the week before Christmas starts.”

Faluker says save coupons now to use the week before Christmas when grocery stores have their biggest holiday sales.  And when shopping dont go overboard with a turkey or ham.  Think about a pound to 2 per person and your plan should include the leftovers.

“Make sure you just dont throw leftovers away.  If you got a hambone make you some ham soup when you are done make those left over stretch for future meals.
