“Shop With A Cop” Teaches Children Valuable Lessons

Children in Harrisburg getting into the holiday spirit with the help of Harrisburg Police. Harrisburg’s Police Athletic League holding their Second Annual “ Shop with a Cop”. The officers giving their time and advice taking children Christmas Shopping at Wal-Mart.  The league raising money for the children to spend on gifts for their families and something special for themselves.

“I’m going to get stuff for my family and and get something for me,” says nine-year-old Zhani Carter

And it’s not just this shopping trip where these children are learning, the Harrisburg Police Athletic League, teaching them lessons after school all year long.

“ They will talk about how to stay off the streets and off of drugs,” says eight-year-old Leondra Tucker
