The body found Wednesday evening in an alley off the 1700 block of North Street was that of Marcus Garner, who’d been missing since November 21st. The family feared foul play was involved and those fears were confirmed. Garner died of a single gunshot wound to the head that Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick says was not self inflicted. Investigators are trying to establish a timeline. Garner’s body was exposed to the elements and the recent fluctuations in temperature make pinpointing a time of death more of a challenge.
Garner, 37, of the 700 block of Girard Street, is the 10th homicide in the city of Harrisburg this year.
