Two teens in Perry County face trespassing and reckless burning charges after accidentally starting a barn fire. On Saturday evening, two 17-year olds spent the night in a barn on Thebes Lane in Centre Township.

The barn had no trespassing signs and the teens were told not to go inside but did so anyways. One of the two started a fire in a metal barrel for heat but left the next morning without properly extinguishing the fire.

A fire started in the barn and the owner, 52-year old Timothy Mulhollem, noticed and called 911. Emergency crews were able to put out the fire before it caused extensive damage.

Pennsylvania State Police have determined the fire was accidental but the teens will still face charges for setting the fire and trespassing.
