Twenty-seven elementary students narrowly escaped injury when a vehicle sideswiped their school bus in Lebanon County on Monday morning. It happened around 8:25 a.m. along Lawn Road just south of Patrick Road in South Londonderry Township.

Mariah Miller, 19, of Palmyra, was heading south on Lawn Road when she lost control of her vehicle.

The 55-year-old school bus driver saw Miller’s out-of-control vehicle approaching and was able to stop the bus. Miller’s vehicle swiped the front of the bus before going off the road and flipped onto its side, police said.

No students aboard the bus were injured.

Miller did not require medical treatment.
