The Steelers had a golden chance to close the gap in the AFC North with the Ravens but Pittsburgh puts up no fight against the Chargers. San Diego gets their 1st regular season win in the Steel City in 15 tries.

Mike Tomlin, Steelers Head Coach,  “It’s a shame given the opportunity that was in front of us, but it is what it is. We don’t seek comfort, we accept responsibility for us. Hopefully we can make corrections and move forward.”

Brett Kiesel, Steelers Defensive Lineman “You have to be ready to go, regardless of the team, regardless of the record. You have to be ready to go, this is a profession. You have to be ready to play when its ready to play.”

Casey Hampton, Steelers Nose Tackle “They just played, they just played. I give it to them. I can’t say that we did this or we didn’t do this, they just outplayed us.”

Antonio Brown, Steelers Receiver “You can’t win when you turn the ball over, giving up a touchdown. Not coming out and scoring points in the 1st half. Those things cost you when the team is controlling the clock.”

Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers QB “We are a pro team, we have been in situations like this before. Offensively speaking, we didn’t play well, I didn’t play well and I didn’t help us win.”

Larry Foote, Steelers Linebacker “Its one of those gut checking times. We are who we are. We are 7 and 6 so we have to turn it around.”

The Steelers control their playoff fate. If they win their last 3 games, Pittsburgh will clinch a post-season berth.
