At the stroke of midnight West York tween, Aubrey Hillmeyer, turned 12 on the 12th day of the 12th month of 2012. In an effort to keep with the theme, Aubrey’s parents and younger brother surprised her at school with a birthday celebration that kicked off at 12 noon. Her parents told FOX43 because Aubrey’s birthday is close to Christmas she has never had a party, however this year they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate in a major way. They presented her with a birthstone ring.
“I wish I could give her every day like this,” said Jennifer Hillmeyer, Aubrey’s mother. “She’s such a compassionate child and we’re very proud of the young lady she’s turned into.”
The number 12 plays a significant role in the family’s life. Jennifer was in labor with Aubrey for 12 hours and is currently 12 weeks pregnant with what will be her in-law’s 12th grandchild. Moreover, Aubrey’s older sister was born on June 12th. The family continued Aubrey’s birthday celebration by going out to eat Wednesday evening.
“Thank you and you made this my best birthday so far and I don’t think anything can top it,” said Aubrey Hillmeyer.
