FOX43 is once again teaming up with Share the Blessing to help families around the region. Share The Blessing is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families in need enjoy the holiday season.
The group collects food, clothing, gifts and monetary donations. It’s all used to provide hope and assistance to local families during a very blessed time of the year. Launched in 2004 as a community outreach project by David Ober, general partner of Rockvale Outlets, Share The Blessing has grown from the sincere desire to provide for individuals and families in crisis into a Central Pennsylvania-wide initiative. Over the past five years, Share the Blessing has gained the support of many local residents and families seeking to give back to their own community – having raised more than $250,000 for families and individuals in need.
Donations are accepted at anytime by clicking here to ShareTheBlessing.com.
Other dates and times to donate are as follows:
- December 13, Rocky Ridge County Park, York
- December 21, Rockvale Outlets, Lancaster
Visitors to the website are also encouraged to nominate a person or a family in need that could use the help of share the blessing. Nominations should focus on local families in crisis or need; all individuals/families nominated and/or selected will remain anonymous to honor their privacy.

I nominated my daughter because both her father and I are disabled. We have not been able to buy her clothing, or the things that she needs. She is 16 years old, and she is a very hard-working student who is on the honor roll. She played on the field hockey team at school and had to wear an old pair of cleats that belonged to some foot ball player at one time, and she had to borrow a stick that was too short for her because we couldn't afford to buy her the stuff she needed. I never received an email or anything back as to whether or not anyone got my nomination.
