Police in Lancaster County have identified the suspect who is accused of holding three elderly Mennonite women against their will during a violent home invasion and robbery on Friday morning. Authorities believe the women were attacked because of their faith.

Dereck Taylor Holt, 22, of no fixed address, is facing a laundry list of charges after police say he brutally attacked the women at a home located along the 300 block of Indiantown Road in Clay Township.

The women ranged in ages from 84 to 90 years-old, police said.

The charges Holt faces are as follows:

  •  Aggravated Assault
  •  Simple Assault
  •  Reckless Endangering another Person
  •  Ethnic Intimidation
  •  Unlawful Restraint
  •  Robbery
  •  Burglary
  •  Theft by Unlawful Takeing or Disposition

Holt is being held in Lancaster County Prison on $1 million dollars bail.

More information is expected to be released at news conference on Monday.
