Police in Lancaster County have identified the suspect who is accused of holding three elderly Mennonite women against their will during a violent home invasion and robbery on Friday morning. Authorities believe the women were attacked because of their faith.
Dereck Taylor Holt, 22, of no fixed address, is facing a laundry list of charges after police say he brutally attacked the women at a home located along the 300 block of Indiantown Road in Clay Township.
The women ranged in ages from 84 to 90 years-old, police said.
The charges Holt faces are as follows:
- Aggravated Assault
- Simple Assault
- Reckless Endangering another Person
- Ethnic Intimidation
- Unlawful Restraint
- Robbery
- Burglary
- Theft by Unlawful Takeing or Disposition
Holt is being held in Lancaster County Prison on $1 million dollars bail.
More information is expected to be released at news conference on Monday.
