Dozens of people in Dauphin County come together Sunday night to hold a prayer vigil for the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Cross Point Church organized a vigil at Northside Elementary School in Lower Paxton Township. Organizers say its a time to pray for those in Newtown and the families affected by the awful tragedy.

“The incident that happened in Connecticut just hit me to the core, I have a young daughter and I just can not image what the parents and the community are going through,” said Tracie Gray who attended the vigil.

Vigils were held all across the country on Sunday night to honor and remember the 20 children and six adult women who lost their lives in the mass shooting.
