Lancaster City Police arrested two people for the afternoon robbery of Luciano’s Store on West King Street. At around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, the store was robbed by suspects with a knife.

Police learned the suspects fled into the apartment building across the street from the store. Officers took 15-year old Andrew Ortiz into custody for threatening the store owner with a knife and demanding money. Ortiz fled the scene before taking anything.

Officers also arrested 17-year old Karylaine Dalexa Rodriguez-Echevaria for assisting in the robbery. She helped Ortiz get into the apartment building across the street to try and escape police.

Both teens will be charged as adults and face charges of Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. A third suspect was taken into custody but was released with no charges filed.
