Wooden silhouettes honor Sandy Hook victims

It took a week for a Cumberland County mother to make her dream a reality.
Corinne Trively, a mother of three from Hampden Township, decided she to honor the 20 young children who were killed in the shooting rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut.
Trively, with her family and community members, including two carpenters, built wooden silhouettes of  12 girls and eight boys.
Her husband Ed Trively says, “It was an idea that my wife came up with as a way to memorialize what happened and provide a place for people to come and reflect and grieve and pray and just spend some time to think about what happened.”
If you’d like to look at the silhouettes, the memorial is set up along Orrs Bridge Road, near the West Shore Brethren Church in Hampden Township, Cumberland County.
