Grey’s Anatomy star, Patrick Dempsey is trying to save a Seattle icon.
The actor is heading up a group planning to buy Tully’s Coffee, a Washington-based chain synonymous with the Seattle coffee culture. The company filed for bankruptcy in October and has been shutting down under-performing stores.
Dempsey says he loves Seattle and wants to help keep the city’s residents employed, but he and his cafe cohorts may have some stiff competition. According to reports, another coffee company already made a 10-million dollar offer for Tully’s. Friday is the deadline for bids, with the bankruptcy auction scheduled to take place next week.
