Happy New Year!
Gray skies greet us this first day of 2013. But we’ll see brighter days ahead for sure but it will be quite cold for a brief period.
A cold front will push southeast of the area today. A cold northwest wind will reinforce a chillier air mass. Tonight, mostly cloudy with lows dropping into the low 20s. We’ll see more sunshine by tomorrow afternoon as high pressure builds in allowing the clouds to thin out later in the day. Highs the next couple of days will reach the low 30s after cold morning starts. We’ll continue below average until we get into the weekend. A weak system moves through Saturday into Sunday but only seems to produce clouds for us. Only a slight chance for snow flurries. Highs in the mid 30s.
Next week temperatures become milder reaching near 40° both Monday and Tuesday. No real big storms expected in the next 7 Days.
