Pennsylvania State Police make a quick arrest of a Maryland man in an attempted robbery of a York County convenience store. It happened just after 7 o’clock Thursday morning at C&S convenience store in the 8000 block of Blooming Grove Road in Codorus Township.
23-year-old Michael Scott Reed, of Manchester, Maryland walked into the store wearing camouflage clothing. He walked around and picked up some items. He then asked for a pen and wrote a note which he handed to a store clerk. The note demanded the clerk to put some money in a bag. The clerk told Reed that there wasn’t any money in the cash register. The clerk yelled out to the store manager that the store was being robbed and to get some money.
For some reason, Reed suddenly grabbed the note and ran out of the store without any money. He fled in a red Honda. Responding State Troopers caught up and arrested Reed at 516 Lineboro Road just north of PA/Md border.
