400 pounds of road salt stolen from Penn Township

State police are searching for suspects who stole 400 pounds of road salt from Penn Township in Cumberland County. The thieves stole the saltĀ  sometime overnight on Dec. 31 from the township’s storage area off Centerville Road.

They used a dual wheeled pickup truck to haul the load away from the salt pile, state police said.

It is unclear how much the road salt was worth.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 717-249-2121.
