Employee steals from golf course in Cumberland County, sells equipment for scrap

An employee at the Silver Spring Golf Course in Mechanicsburg has been arrested after stealing equipment and then selling it for scrap. Thomas Kleeman, 46,  of Carlisle, turned himself into police on Saturday and is facing theft charges.

The golf course, located along the 100 block of Sample Bridge Road, originally reported the theft on  Dec. 13.

Police say the stolen equipment was sold in Harrisburg as scrap.

Kleeman was taken to the Cumberland County Booking Center.
