A fiery fatal crash in Cumberland County.  It happened just before 8:30 Monday evening in the northbound lane of Route 15 near mile marker 40 just north of the Turnpike in Lower Allen Township.

A vehicle slammed into the concrete bridge support at the Wesley Drive/Rossmoyne Road overpass.  The impact was so violent it virtually split the car in half before it burst into flames. The driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene by the Cumberland County Coroner.  No word on the identity of the victim. Route 15 North was closed for hours while a crash reconstruction team investigated. Lower Allen Township Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
