Police said a man shot and killed his wife inside their South Carolina home on Saturday and then fled to Pennsylvania.

Iva police said Jonathan Roe, 28, left the couple’s Lee Street home and drove to Lower Allen Township, PA, where he called 911 and said he killed his wife.

Lower Allen Township police called Iva police to report what Roe told them, and when police responded to the home Sunday night, they said they found the body of Sonja Roe, 48. Police said she was shot several times.

Police said the suspect confessed to the crime Sunday. He is in custody in Pennsylvania awaiting extradition back
