An uptown resident was shot twice in her hip early Sunday morning. The victim was sitting in a van parked on the 2400 block of Reel Street with a friend watching a movie when they say a man in a mini-van drove up and fired several shots at them. Two of the bullets penetrated the van’s sliding door and hit the victim in the hip. Her friend suffered a cut on his foot from broken glass. He drove the victim to the hospital.

The victims tell police they have no idea who attacked them. He is described only as a black man in a silver mini-van.

Adding insult to injury, the male victim also reported that someone took his wallet from the van while he was at the emergency room.
