Witnesses tell police the man struck by a tractor-trailer on Route 30 Wednesday appeared to step in front of the truck intentionally. The incident occurred around 2:30pm just east of the Malleable Road overpass and shut down the busy highway for hours. Police identified Jesse Roberts, 57, of Lititz, as the man hit by the truck.He is listed in critical condition with severe trauma throughout his entire body, but none of the injuries are considered life-threatening.
The truck driver was not injured. The rig was impounded for further investigation.
No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.

If true, this would be a shame; a person who wants to commit suicide and does not think that the driver may be charged with homicide by vehicle.
