A chain reaction crash involving three cars and a tractor-trailer in the westbound lanes of Route 322/22 in Perry County. It happened just before 6 o’clock Friday evening in the first block of Benvenue Road in front of the Sheetz convenience store. A preliminary report has a vehicle pulling out from the Sheetz parking lot was struck by a car, which in turn hit another car. The big rig was unable to stop and hit one of the cars. At least three people were taken away by ambulance.
The crash backed up Friday night commuter and weekend getaway traffic for miles in the westbound lanes. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
