Police arrest a man in connection with two burglaries in Lancaster City over the weekend. Shawn Deandru Jones, 41, of Lancaster, is facing numerous charges including burglary and theft by unlawful taking.
On Saturday night police were dispatched to Reveron Electronics, 400 block of West King Street, after a burglar alarm was tripped. Investigating officers noticed significant damage to the door, which looked as if a crowbar had been used to pry it open.
While waiting for an employee to arrive at the business, officers received a second burglary report on the same block at Su Pais Deli.
Police found Jones walking in that area with a metal pry bar. He had a small amount of stolen cash from the deli and 14 packs of cigarettes on him.
He was taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
