Lancaster Leaders want to Reduce Gun Violence

Lancaster leaders came together on Monday to call on the President and members of Congress to take immediate steps to end gun violence.

The group went on to say its an epidemic that kills 33 Americans ever day.

They will also air a new national television ad featuring family members of gun violence victims demanding a plan of action from political leaders.

The ad supports common-sense reforms including criminal background checks on every person who buys a gun, removing high-capacity weapons, and ammunition magazines from our streets and making gun trafficking a federal crime.

Mayors Against Illegal Guns is hosting similar events across the nation to mark the one- month anniversary of the Newtown tragedy.

I would love for them to explain how any of these laws will help "End gun violence". None of these laws would have done anything to prevent the Newtown tragedy, those guns were legally purchased and owned by a lawful gun owner. None of these laws will prevent lawfully purchased guns being used in crimes
