The first woman and Democrat to be elected as Pennsylvania’s Attorney General, Kathleen Kane is sworn in at the Capitol today. The Scranton native says her priority list includes investigating the way the state handled the Jerry Sandusky investigation and she plans to start working on that list tomorrow. Kane says she plans on naming a person solely responsible for that investigation.
“ We`re very close to finalizing the details as to the person that will be a special deputy attorney general who`s sole responsibility will be that case the investigation of that should only be a couple of days, weeks tops,” says Kane
Kane, a mother of two, and former District Attorney says she’s ready to get to work serving the people of Pennsylvania .
“ The office of Attorney General is the most powerful consumer advocate for the people of Pennsylvania. You often wonder who`s standing on that wall protecting our protectors. We are,” says Kane
