A Mariemont, Ohio teacher is suing her former school district, saying she has a phobia of kids.
In 2009, Maria Willard, 61, was transferred from her high school teaching job to the middle school.
She’s now claiming discrimination, her lawyers arguing that the change caused her blood pressure to shoot up and forced her to retire, due to her phobia.
A lawyer for the school district said Willard was transferred because the French program at the high school was being changed into an online one, and the middle school was in need of a Spanish instructor.
