Al Pacino to play Joe Paterno on the silver screen

Al Pacino will play Joe Paterno in a movie about the late Penn State football coach.

Brian De Palma will direct the film with the working title, “Happy Valley.”  It will be based on Joe Posnanski’s best-seller “Paterno.”  No start or release dates were given for the film.

Paterno passed away in January 2012.

    Ah, Hollywood. First to make a profit on current events. Shame, Shame, Shame. I haven't been to a Hollywood movie in more than ten years, and I do not plan to attend a movie in the near future. Again, shame on Hollywood for an attempt to profit from another's misfortune!
