PA Girl suspended for making ‘terrorist threats’ with Hello Kitty bubble gun

A 5-year-old girl from Pennsylvania has been suspended from school for threatening to shoot herself and a classmate with a Hello Kitty bubble gun.

According to the family’s attorney, the child made the remark last week but didn’t even have the toy with her.

The lawyer says the girl was questioned by school officials for three hours without her parents’ knowledge. She was then suspended for ten days for making, what the district called, “terrorist threats.”

The suspension was reduced to four days.

The Mount Carmel area school district issued a statement saying, quote, “We don’t comment on issues involving staff or students because of confidentiality.”
