A 42-year-old Lebanon County woman is facing animal cruelty charges after she smothered two cats to death and attempted to kill a third. It happened on Saturday around 4:30 a.m. along Applewood Court in Swatara Township.

Monica Lyn Seigfried, 42, of is accused of using a rag soaked with some type of spray lubricant to suffocate two of her domestic felines.

She attempted to smother a third cat, but was unsuccessful.
