Another frigid night is in store once again, with lows dropping into the lower teens, even upper single digits in a few of the normally colder spots.  A weak disturbance will drop through, bringing the chance for a few snow showers, but only a dusting is expected at best for locations that see them.  The winds will be light during the overnight, keeping the wind chill factor minimal.

THURSDAY

High pressure builds into the region Thursday, bringing some more sunshine.  Temperatures will slowly warm into the middle 20s, but this is still unseasonably cold for this time of year.

FRIDAY-WEEKEND

Models are still in agreement for some light snow Friday, but have been backing off on snowfall totals.  At this point, it looks like an inch at best Friday afternoon through the evening.  Highs Friday remain cold, in the lower to middle 20s.  By Saturday, a northwesterly flow will help keep clouds over the area, with a few light lake effect snow showers possible to the northwest early in the day.  Highs will reach the middle 20s.  By Sunday, our pattern begins to shift towards a warmer one, and we will see temperatures rise to near 30 degrees under sunshine.

NEXT WEEK

The new week will see an unsettled start.  A warm front associated with the next weather maker could bring a brief period of mixing or snow Monday before a transition to rain showers.  A few rain showers will still be possible into Tuesday as our next cold front begins to approach, with steadier rain likely by Wednesday as the system crosses through.  High temperatures start in the 30s Monday, but will rise to near 50 degrees on Wednesday!
