
Robert Philbin announced Tuesday he would no longer be Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson’s Communications Director. Philbin, had been working for Thompson for free until recently. City Council decided with all of the city’s money problems that they couldn’t afford to pay him and eliminated the position. Philbin stating he is leaving to pursue other career options but will continue to advise the Mayor at times. Philbin has been working for the city since June of 2011. During her first term Mayor Thompson has lost several top officials.

Boy, this broad sure goes through people in her administration. A city in the fiscal shape like this one is certainly doesn't need a spokesperson…. it's frivilous. By the way, doesn't she supposedly have a degree in COMMUNICATIONS? Paying $75K a year for that is just plain wrong.
