Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is creating quite the buzz with her latest fashion accessory, but it turns out it’s actually a medical necessity. Clinton wore thick, black glasses while she testified before Congress earlier this week. Turns out, she has to wear the glasses because of her recent concussion. Staff members say Clinton will wear her glasses instead of her contacts for a period of time because of lingering issues stemming from her injury.

As an eye doctor, I must say that Ms. Clinton did the right thing. There benefits to using such glasses. I suggest she regularly use it than her contacts.

I agree with Mary. I am also an eye doctor and people need to know that once you experience concussion, it is important to have reading glasses. This is to prevent eye strain.
