Toyota is king. The Japanese carmaker recaptures the title of the world’s largest automaker in 2012. It’s a big bounce back from the previous year when a deadly earthquake and tsunami stopped production. Toyota sold 9.75 million vehicles last year. A big part of its business was heavy-duty trucks and buses.
General Motors ranks second. Volkswagen is Third.
