A string of armed robberies has police in Harrisburg warning food delivery drivers to be on alert. Over the past week there have been four robberies targeting deliverymen that occurred along Briggs Street, Parkway Boulevard and Mulberry Street, police said.

The first robbery  happened on January 25th around 8 p.m. along the 2000 block of Briggs Street. Police say a pizza deliveryman from Monte Carlos Pizza was robbed at gunpoint by two Hispanic men after stepping out of his vehicle. The suspects got away with a cell phone, car keys, a small amount of cash and the food.

The next day, a driver for Michael’s Pizza was robbed around 8:35 p.m. along the 2400 block of Parkway Boulevard. The victim told police two black men approached him when he got out of his vehicle and robbed him at gunpoint. The men ordered him to the ground and took his cell phone, car keys and the food.

About an hour later a Domino’s delivery driver was robbed along the 1800 block of Briggs Street. The victim just finished making a delivery when he was robbed at gunpoint while making his way back to the car, police said. The victim handed over a small amount of cash and the robber ran to a waiting vehicle and then sped off.

That same night a deliveryman for China Express was robbed along the 2000 block of Mulberry Street by two men armed with guns. One of the robber’s punched the victim in the face, causing his glasses to break, police said. The suspects took the food and ran off.
