A senior at Mechanicsburg Area High School passed away Tuesday after suffering a medical emergency. Superintendent Mark Leidy released the following statement on the tragic death.

“Tuesday afternoon, a senior student at Mechanicsburg Area High School experienced a medical emergency. The student was transported to the hospital by ambulance and was pronounced dead a short time later. Counseling services will be provided to students and staff as necessary. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.”
