Shamaine Daniels, a Harrisburg area attorney and Chair of Harrisburg Area NOW, has announced her candidacy for City Council. She is seeking a Democratic nomination in May’s primary election for one of the four seats to be filled on Harrisburg’s City Council.
Daniels has worked for legal programs in Harrisburg, serving low-income individuals, women, immigrants and individuals with disabilities. She is also an educator and member of AFT Local 1839. Her priorities are to improve the quality of life for City residents while simultaneously addressing the City’s financial concerns.
