COLD IS HERE TO STAY:  We’re done with the flooding rains from yesterday, but we will hang on to the windy conditions today.  Expect a cold day with more sunshine through the day.  A wave of energy is moving to our south this morning, and we could see patches of flurries and light snow showers/squalls, especially south of the turnpike.  This will taper by mid-morning, but be aware of some reduced visibilities.

The winds continue out of the west-northwest at 15-25mph today.  Temps will rise to around 30°.  Wind chills though will make it feel more like the teens all day.  Stay warm!

Tonight, we’re mainly clear with winds finally relaxing and temps tumbling into the middle teens.

WEEKEND:  Saturday will start with sunshine, but clouds will start to block some of that sun during the day.  We’re near 30° for a high.  Light snow showers are possible later in the afternoon and into the evening.  The better chance for light snow comes into Sunday.  We could see some light accumulations in spots over the weekend.  Sunday is mostly cloudy and a bit less cold at 34°.  There may be some leftover snow showers around as you travel for Super Bowl plans.

The clouds may be in place for Phil on Saturday morning in Punxsutawney, so maybe winter will come to an early end!

WEEK AHEAD:  We’ll stay in the low to mid 30s for the first half of the week.  Monday looks partly cloudy and dry.  However, a quick moving system will bring the shot at some snow later Tuesday into Wednesday before high pressure moves in to clear things out for Wednesday into Thursday.  By Thursday we should be near 40°!

Have a fantastic Friday and a great weekend!  Enjoy the Super Bowl!
