The relationship was sexual in nature and started in the early months of 2011. The incidents resulting in the charge of corruption occurred at Meckley’s home in York Township.

Really? Don't these people ever learn or maybe they don't read papers or watch TV news programs?
To all of you who work with people under 18, it is WRONG WRONG WRONG! Leave the kids alone!

What he did was wrong and if it were my daughter I would be upset YET he should receive a similar punishment given to a female if the roles were reversed and it were a 34 yrd old female teacher and 17 yr old male student. If the public wants to harshly punish him then fine, harshly punish a female teacher when the roles are reversed.

People can justify different penalties using gender stereotypes all they wish BUT if you physically look at the scales of justice, the statue holding the scales in blindfolded, meaning in the eyes of the law justice is supposed to be blind.

The student he had interactions with was another teachers daughter . I am a student at sg and remember her telling people that It happened awhile ago.

@Student, as a former student at SG, and former classmate of Mr. Meckely, I believe you should keep your comments to yourself, as they are here-say.

I think you mean "hearsay". Not to worry, though, as hearsay of this type is inadmissible in state court.

I was a student at SG also, Mr. Meckley was a horrible teacher, mean and thought he was cool, always mean to the " normal kids" but extra sweet to the pretty popular girls. I believe every accusation against him is true, he was a horrible teacher and i hope he has to pay for whats hes done. This is unacceptable.
