An overnight manhunt in Cumberland County ended peacefully with the surrender of a East Pennsboro Township man who authorities say threatened another person with a weapon. Officers were called to the 2100 block of Valley Road around 2:20 a.m. on Saturday morning for a report of a domestic dispute. When police showed up the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Charles Snavely, fled out the back door and into a wooded area.

A Special Response Team (SRT) and a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter were brought in to search for him.

After more than 5-hours of negotiations, Snavely turned himself into law enforcement just after 8 a.m.

Charges are pending.
