In York County, Dover Township officials say a boil water advisory for some Township residents remains in effect until at least Thursday. The advisory affects home in the area of Pine Road, Park Street, Prospect Avenue, Grandview Avenue, Sherwood Lane, High Street, and Royal Avenue along with residents and businesses located in the 2800 and 2900 block of Carlisle Road, Route 74.  On Monday afternoon a contract crew working on a sewer line hit a natural gas line.  Several hours later, a water main also broke.

Dover Township crews worked overnight to repair the water main break.  Township officials want to be sure the system is contamination free before declaring the water is safe to drink.  Meantime, Columbia Gas crews, who had to wait until the water main was repaired, expect repairs on the natural gas line to be completed by around 4 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. The break affect approximately 24 Columbia Gas customers.
