(CNN) — The Boy Scouts of America has decided to delay its vote on a proposal to allow local troops to decide whether to allow openly gay members and leaders. The organization said it needs more time to get input from its members. The vote will now be held in May.

no way! not unless they make sure ALL parents affected are made aware that their sons are going to be influenced by a gay leader. It may mean having 2 groups in the same location. one for those who are ok with a gay leader and one for those who are not. I certainly would NOT allow my child to attend with a gay leader. I also would not want my child taught in school by a gay teacher. I do not want my child being taught that the gay lifestyle is ACCEPTABLE because we do not feel it is morally or spiritually ok. Love the sinner but not the sin. I can accept a gay person as a person without accepting the lifestyle and those I know who are gay understand this. But young children are way too suggestible and cannot make these distinctions yet.

I have nothing to add that Marie didn't already say…. and she said it well… we will choose a different venue for our 5 boys if BSA changes the policy in May.

Wow the previous comments on this are absolutely amazing. Marie and Lori I wish if you could kindly clarify your comments with some sort of logical or empirical data to support the claims you have set forth I would be more then willing to listen to your close-minded theory on the subject.
I await your response…
