Can the Orioles make another playoff run? Are the Nationals the best team in Major League Baseball? Can the Phillies still contend? All valid questions and topics for Monday Night’s Hot Stove Talk with baseball writers and experts in York County. Why is it referred to as the Hot Stove? Dan Connolly follows the Orioles for The Baltimore Sun. He is one of the panelists for the annual free event along with MASN and SI.com baseball expert Mel Antonen and Jim Seip of The York Daily Record who covers the York Revolution.
Zion Lutheran Church will hold its third annual baseball talk at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11 in the church’s sanctuary, 2215 Brandywine Lane, York. The writers will present their thoughts on the upcoming baseball season – Orioles, Phillies, all MLB, plus the Revs and the Atlantic League — and will answer questions from the audience. There is no admission fee, but a freewill offering will be taken to benefit the church’s youth ministry program. For more information, contact the church at 717-767-4673.
