Harrisburg will finally move forward on gaining revenue for the city by auctioning off western artifacts. The artifacts were suppose to be apart of a museum but it never opened.

The mayor and the city controller got into a court battle over those artifacts; however, on Friday the city controller Dan Miller signed the contract.

The contract was between the city and Guernsey’s, the auction house chosen to auction off the city’s historic collection, allowing the items to now be sold.

Mayor Linda Thompson says Guerney’s is optimistic that the city can anticipate several million dollars in revenue by next fall from the auction.
