Police have captured a purse snatching suspect in York County. The incident happened early Saturday morning at a Rutter’s along the 900 block of South Richland Avenue in Spring Garden Township. Lauren Ashley Jenkins, 21, of Stewartstown was arrested and charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
Investigators say a passerby notified police after recognizing Jenkins from a surveillance picture that appeared on the news.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of George Street and arrested Jenkins without incident.
She was taken to Central Booking for her preliminary arraignment.
