The Harrisburg Stampede (a professional indoor football team in American Indoor Football) found inspiration in the strength and symbolism of the Keystone State for the club’s new logo, that was revealed today. The new logo and uniforms feature a sleeker-looking black and royal blue uniform with metallic black helmets.

The primary logo has the sharp-featured head of a bull, outlined in the state colors blue and gold. The logo’s primary color is blue and has been derived from the Pennsylvania State flag. The yellow outline represents the yellow fringe which can be found along the outer boarder of the State Flag. Red is the color of energy, determination and strength. All three colors can be found on the Commonwealth’s Flag.

New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Champion and Harrisburg Stampede Owner Marques Colston is excited about the new direction of the organization and loves the new look.  “We wanted to create a fresh look that modernized our organization and fostered a feeling of energy and strength. Our players, staff, and fans love the new look and feel the sense of energy we’re trying to create”

Harrisburg Stampede head coach Bernie Nowatarski said, “We’re all going to enjoy playing in these uniforms. This new look has marked a new shift in our club and the culture change has been awesome! Our players look forward to looking their best, while showing the league we ARE the best!”

Colston is excited about the new cultural shift that has taken hold within the club. “This new design is also symbolic of the new direction of the organization.  Our team is committed to delivering our fans a high quality entertainment experience and we’ll strive daily to become a staple of positive work within our community.”

Reestablishing the Harrisburg Stampede is a process of relationship building that will take time. Colston is hopeful and positive about the outlook of the season. “Looking good is one small step in the right direction. We have to put our best foot forward and operate with integrity and a passion for community service in everything that we do.”

The Harrisburg Stampede will strive to become a team that the City of Harrisburg and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania can be proud to support. “We had to invest in creating a new image and identity that our community could identify with. Our successes will benefit the local economy and organizations doing good work in the community. That’s something we can all be proud of.”

The home-opener, themed Youth Night, will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Farm Show Complex & Expo Center. For more information, please visit www.harrisburgstampede.com or contact us at info@harrisburgstampede.com.
