Burger King is expanding its coffee menu, adding 10 new drinks, including lattes. It will also serve Seattle’s Best coffee for $1. The fast food chain may add cappuccinos in the future. The lattes are expected on the menu by next month.
Analysts say it’s to compete with both McDonald’s and Denny’s which is revamping its coffee menu and switching the brand it serves. Right now McDonald’s sells more coffee than any chain in the U.S. except Starbucks. Trends show that coffee sales are rising while soda sales are dropping.
