Vending machine thieves caught

Northern York County Regional Police say they have the duo responsible for breaking into vending machines with bolt cutters and stealing cash. Surveillance cameras caught the robbers, a male and a female, in action in the wee hours of February 7th. It also caught the vehicle they were driving, an older green Jeep Cherokee. An alert officer spotted a green Cherokee occupied by a male and female matching the description of the robbers.

The officer stopped the Jeep on PA Avenue and identified the occupants as Steven Baker Jr, 27, of the 3300 block of Edinbridge Road in York and Lori Gorman, 28 of the 700 block of Vilger Circle in Baltimore, MD.

Baker and Gorman were taken to Central Booking to face the following charges;

  1. Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition
  2. Receiving Stolen Property
  3. Possessing Instruments of Crime
  4. Criminal Mischief
